Our inventory page shows several finished pieces that are currently available for purchase. Steve also carves and paints fish on commission. Steve's art follows a lifetime of passion for fishing and the outdoors. After fishing many streams, rivers and lakes in the Rocky Mountain region, Steve began carving his impressions of the wide variety of Colorado trout in wood, gradually honing his art to include painting the diverse colors of these fish. Each fish is individually carved from cedar, bass wood or redwood, and painstakingly hand painted to mimic the various trout species. The finished trout is attractively mounted on an oak or walnut base using driftwood and gravel accents.
